There are within the Deanery, as in the Exarchate, a number of men and women living the monastic life.
Essentially devoted to prayer and continual conversion, through the following of Christ and the ever deeper assimilation of his love, tending towards the fullness of Christian life and theosis through the gift of the Holy Spirit, each monastic will live out her or his life with a particular colouring.
At present, most of the monastics of the Deanery are living as solitaries. This may change in the future, according to the grace and circumstances God gives. There are two monasteries of the Exarchate in France, which both welcome guests:
- Monastere Notre-Dame-de-Toute-Protection, Bussy en Othe (G-translated)
- Monastere Saint-Silouane, Saint-Mars-de-Locquenay (G-translated)
